About Me
Hello! I'm Chloe.
I'm a student from the United States, currently attending Rowan University and studying public relations. In my free time, I love cooking (especially with friends). I have been a vegan for over a year, and love finding ways to make traditional recipes plant based! Having been raised by an art professor and an amateur musician, I also carry a deep appreciation for art and music (don't be fooled by my profile picture though, I do not know how to play that instrument).
My boyfriend, Ian is also a student at Rowan, studying mechanical engineering. Ian loves biking, woodworking, camping, and pretty much anything outdoors, he can also fix pretty much anything.

We are both outgoing and enjoy meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ian and I are planning on traveling to Rome in March 2019, and we would love to meet some people from the area! Throughout the school semester we like to go on weekend trips to go camping, hiking and explore new areas.
Shockingly, we cannot bring a truckful of camping equipment across the ocean, so we are looking for some affordable places to sleep for the week!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big fan of folk music and classic rock. Some of my favorite artists are Joni Mitchell, the Avette Brothers, and Van Morrison.
I am also a huge Beatles fanatic, and can talk your ear off about the band's music and history!
My favorite books that I read this year were the Handmaids Tale (love the show now too!), and "The Untethered Soul".
Ian is a fan of The Revivalists, and Greta Van Fleet. He recently finished the book "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last summer I worked in Vermont canvassing for an environmental advocacy group. This job required me to go door to door, and meet hundreds of people. At first this terrified me, I thought I would receive rude remarks, and get doors slammed in my face. On the contrary, I ended up having encounters with so many wonderful people. The conversations and meaningful interactions I had changed the way I viewed "strangers".
I hope couch surfing provides similar connections and friendships, it is through meeting people who are different that we realize that we are all pretty similar.
