We've been living in Dublin for a few years but recently left our jobs (easier for me, as a freelancer) to go on our grand "Exodus". Myanmar was first on the list and we're still here a couple of months in, loving every moment.

To meet new people, see and stay in places I wouldn't find myself and share experiences/adventures.

Andy and I have hosted a few times when we lived in Edinburgh, as well as providing some tours of the city (mainly of its pubs). I also went to a couple of meet-ups when travelling alone in Indonesia.

I've had some great memories as a result of Couchsurfing and look forward to making many more.

Intereses

I sang in a soul choir back home, I'm a huge fan of fancy dress, I would happily live at festivals year-round...and I calm myself down from the excitement of all these things with yoga. Hoping to do my teacher training in India, recommendations welcome...

From bawling my eyes out all through Dancer in the Dark to rolling off the couch laughing during Hot Rod, I like any films that move me in some way.

Music-wise, I adore Leonard Cohen (may he rest in peace), admire Bjork for her powerful lungs and her costume collection and love Declan O'Rourke because of the voice, the poetry and the Irish thing. But if I could choose an era, it'd be Motown, baby...

Shantaram is one of my favourite travel stories and I also love Joseph O'Connor's Star of the Sea.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Stumbled my way up and slipped my way down Mt. Kenya in off-season blizzards, without a hat or pair of gloves to my name. The "amazing" part is that I didn't break anything or freeze to death en route.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can blow air through one cheek in a Mr. Bean-like fashion (too hard to explain, I'll just have to show you). I have yet to meet anyone else who can do it, mostly I just end up with a faceful of spit as they try.

I've also recently completely a CELTA course and am happy to help people brush up on their English so that I can brush up on my teaching!

If you can teach me how to whistle through my fingers, you'll have a friend for life.
