About Me

I really love to get to know new cultures and ways of living, so I always try to travel in my free time.
Sometimes alone and sometimes with friends.

I prefer to travel easy without a lot of money.
So normally I hitchhike before taking a bus... and I prefer sleeping in my tent before going to an expensive hotel.
I also like to go to the nature, catching there my own food and trying to survive.
I´m very interested in animals and plants, this is the reason why I studied Biodiversity in Göttingen.

Since some years I´m working as a professional fisherman in the river rhine (biggest river of Germany). My brother, father and me are one of the last river fishermen in Germany. I really love my job.

I like to meet knew people, especially from other cultures and pass time with them. I like to hear stories about their homeland and their way of living.
I´m not complicated at all and I think that this is very important if you want to get to know new countries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's the best way to meet people from other cultures and to learn about their lifes and traditions. Compared sleeping in a Hostel is boring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In February 2016 I went for two month alone to Senegal, Gambia and Guinea-Bissau.

When I arrived to Dakar the capital of Senegal, I was thinking about buying a donkey which is able to carry my bagage.
I heard that the best donkeys come from the Sahel in the Northern parts of Senegal. So I went there and got a very good and convenient one in Dara Djolof.
From there I started my trip to Gambia across the savanna. Totally I walked for one month and about 400 km. When I arrived to Georgetown in Gambia I could gave my donkey to a farmer.

It was a very nice experience and I really enjoyed African hospitality and there way of life.
