Overview
About Me
Currently I find myself working at a wolf sanctuary in beautiful Colorado. I got there after receiving a Master's degree specializing in animal behavior. The outdoors are what I live for, but I can also appreciate the charms of cities. I'm a huge foodie! So long as I don't need to eat anything creepy/crawly I'll try anything.
I traveled with my younger brother through Europe for 2 months. Some other references can be found on his couch surfing profile: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/james-hastings-1.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've found the best way to experience any city is through the locals! Although I am new to the couch surfing world I am excited about all it stands for.
I just completed a two month venture with my brother across Europe. We used couch surfing a few times and it was a truly amazing experience. Couch surfing allows you to meet like-minded people all over the world which adds a whole new element to traveling.
Interests
Animals, snowboarding, hiking, dancing, singing. Basically anything outdoors that does not involve launching yourself off of some precipice.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge fan of bluegrass music because it's great to dance to. I love all type of music, with the exception of maybe house techno.
I love movies a little more than books but my interests are the same. Admittedly, I'm a sucker for science fiction. My philosophy is that books and movies are supposed to take you away from the stress of the world so might as well read/watch things otherworldly.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled through Europe for 2 months with my younger brother,
Working with wolves is pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm open to teach anyone if it's something I can share. My biggest area of interest is science, but I also love to sing and dance. Same goes for learning. If it's something I find worth learning I'll be sure to let you know I'm interested. As for sharing, same philosophy.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My current living arrangements require cooking for up to 15 people, including vegetarian and vegan considerations. I'm a fairly decent cook and am happy to make a community meal or two. I could also help with some general cleaning and animal care. I'm a huge science nerd, biology mostly, and am willing to geek out with anyone interested.
