Hello Couchsurfers, my name is Jon and I live in the beautiful city of Coeur ‘d Alene, Idaho, USA. I have just returned from a wonderful trip to Europe and will be hosting when my Grandkids are back in school. I am very blessed to have four of my six children and 14 of my 18 grandchildren live within 4 miles of me. Although "Popajon" is in "high demand" when he is home, He still finds time to enjoy hosting and traveling to new places and meeting new people.
Since retiring in the spring of 2010, I have enjoyed traveling wherever I find a way to get to. I enjoy bluegrass festivals, playing guitar, Ukulele and singing a bit. I enjoy storytelling and listening to other people's stories of where they have been.
Many of my travels are made with an old high school friend, Ed, who is a retired early education professor that lives in Davis California (link to his profile: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/ed-lewis-1 ). We have a lot of fun playing and entertaining.

I'm looking forward to meeting new people, new experiences, and I always have been interested hearing about the paths that other people have taken to get to where they are. This interests me.
