Hey! I'm Josias. I'm originally from Ensenada, Baja California, but I'm currently living in Mexico City. I'm a curious, creative soul who’s passionate about art, culture, people, and great conversations. I’ve been a folkloric dancer since I was a kid, which led me to travel, perform, and dive deep into cultural projects around the world.

I studied Communication, worked in the cultural and events scene, and now I’m shifting back into the digital space — I love storytelling in all its forms, whether it’s through dance, writing, design or conversation.

People usually describe me as easygoing, thoughtful, and full of good energy. I genuinely enjoy meeting new people, sharing experiences, cooking a good meal together, or just walking around discovering places with good music in the background.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe in human connection. Couchsurfing is not just about finding a place to sleep — it’s about sharing stories, laughs, meals, and perspectives with people you might have never crossed paths with otherwise.

I love the idea of building a global community based on trust, curiosity, and kindness. As someone who’s traveled and hosted before, I know how special it is to feel at home anywhere in the world thanks to strangers who become friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived abroad for my last semester of college in Lisbon.

I won a contest of Volaris, a Mexican airline, where the winner gets a free year of trips to all the destinations they have with it’s family. Also they put my last name in one of their planes.

Being picked in and audition of almost 300 dancers.
