About Me

Difficult to say... Tricky... Wonder if anything I write down here might give you a slight idea... I like being on the world, experiencing it the fullest, sensing it and then expressing what I've just felt in a written or drawn creation.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Excellent way to live the world without having to sacrifice yourself in the attempt to do so. You get to know kind, interesting people, who care more about you, your-self, than for how much you've got on your wallet. You discover you've got friends all over the world; the thing is, you haven't met them yet.

Be free as long as I can, either to do whatever I'm up to or to share some time with a free spirit, or to help someone in need.
Like swimming in the sea, exploring forests, mountains, hiking... getting lost while I listen to music. Daydreaming, every now and then...

Recently expressing myself with my body: dancing.

Sometimes I feel like talking about art, philosophy, literature, history, science or everyday issues.

Music, Movies & Books

Books, or rather say authors, friends I've met along the way:
William Blake, Nietzsche, Borges, Shakespeare, Rulfo, Cortázar, S. Beckett, Kundera; Lautréamont.
Books: "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" (L. Carroll); "The Doors of Perception Heaven and Hell" (Huxley); Canek's story, this Maya hero; "Tuareg" (Vázquez-Figueroa).

Music I've felt makes my heart beat:
Bach, Michael Nyman (particularly, "Fish Beach"), Sigur Ros, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails ("Still"), Pink Floyd, Radical Face, some "trova" songs, "Latinoamerica", Caifanes (Mexican group).

Movies... shortcuts:
"The Perfect Human" (Jorgen Leth), "Moebius" (Mosquera) , "La Montaña Sagrada" (Jodorowsky), "Eternal Sunshine...", "Dolls" (Takeshi Kitano)... "Into the Wild"...

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Crossing six countries on my own, second time I went out of my country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach languages for a living (English, German, French). I prepare for the Cambridge certifications (FCE, CAE, IELTS) I work on translations (got a master's) from time to time. I also teach literature and philosophy (my bachelor's).

I'd love to learn anything related to survival skills, from cookery or growing crops to first aids or self defense.

What I Can Share With Hosts

Good time :)
