About Me
Hello, I'm Linda. I'm a 23 year old German student from the Black Forest area (South West Germany). Before going to university I had been living for 2 years in the USA as an Au Pair and returned to Germany in 2013.
I got to travel a lot during my time in the US, but my new busy student life doesn't allow me that anymore.
Family is really really important to me. I have four younger siblings.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a student. Plain and simple. I love traveling and meet new people. But that's a pricy hobby and couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to still do that.
I have lived in the US for two years as an Au Pair and did a lot of "couchsurfing" in New York or Boston, for instance (not through couchsurfing.com but through friends of friends or acquaintances who let me use their home for a night or two). I've always enjoyed it. Some hosts were really excited about showing me their city and others weren't able to do that - but either way is fine with me.
Interests
I'm not much of a party-person. Friends would probably describe me as a shy person at first sight who becomes really open once you talk to her.
I'm also vegetarian (note: I really don't care if someone around me eats meat, fish or egg products...it doesn't bother me and I don't judge.)
I enjoy being active. The Black Forest is a beautiful area with lots of mountains and woods - and talking walks or hikes there is just about my favourite thing to do after a busy week.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh dear....that's difficult. I don't think I have an all-time favorite of any of those. But I like getting inspired with new music, movies or books :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I just ran my first half marathon in Strasbourg, France.
