I' m Maria. I grew up in Poland and am currently studying in Karlsruhe, Germany, where I'm diving deep into the world of Chemical Biology. It’s a demanding field, but I love balancing it with creativity, connection, and curiosity.

I’m a very open, social, and curious soul - I thrive on meeting new people, exploring new places, and learning about different cultures, traditions, and ways of life. Traveling is not just a hobby for me - it’s my way of growing, understanding the world, and feeding my passion for languages. I speak Polish and German (thanks to my roots), learned English and French, and recently started Spanish :).

When I’m not in the lab or traveling, you’ll probably find me experimenting in the kitchen with colorful vegan recipes, doing yoga to slow down and find my center, or making clay sculptures -my favorite form of artistic expression. I also love dancing, especially to electronic and rhythmic music, though this year I’ve started learning salsa.

I truly value meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and the little moments that create lasting memories. I’m always grateful for new insights and different perspectives on life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I think it's a great way to meet people while traveling. I prefer getting to know a place through locals rather than just staying in hotels or hostels. It’s more personal, often more interesting, and usually leads to better conversations and experiences.

I enjoy exchanging ideas, learning how people live in different parts of the world, and sometimes just having a simple chat over coffee or dinner. I also like the idea of helping each other out while traveling :).
