Hi I am a former conference interpreter and currently a full-time mom who loves traveling and cooking. I've been living in China with my husband and twins for a few months. I couchsurfed a lot in my 20s and then stopped, then retook it until we became parents. My husband was a very active member (you can find his profile here https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/ethan_boehm), but also took a break when the twins arrived. We're just starting to host again and we're super excited about it! We're looking forward to knowing more travelling families (and of course solo travellers too). Ethan, my husband, is great with maps and transit tips and we both enjoy hanging with couchsurfers. Our kids are always curious and happy to meet new people. I enjoy cooking, yoga, biking, hiking, reading (not kindle but real books 🤓), camping and dancing. But to be honest as our kids are only 2, I don't do much of that anymore.

For us, couchsurfing is not a free version of Airbnb, but a cultural exchange. We enjoy interacting and learning from our couchsurfers. Sometimes, depending on our schedules, we have more time to hang out than others but we definitely enjoy it when we can.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I offer a clean bed, a few tips about Zhuhai, interesting/fun conversations, and most likely family meals.
Please note that we live in a residential area, away from the centre of Zhuhai (Gongbei). However, we're only 40 min from there (by cab) and our neighbourhood offers a really nice old town pedestrian area (Tangjia ancient town), restaurants, bars, parks, etc.
We're only 10 min. Away from the the intercity Trainline to Guangzhou.
