About Me

After graduating Sheffield University in July 2014 I worked in a hotel bar to save money for an epic road-trip with my friend Vicky (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/vicky.hellon). I also got a 2 year working visa for Canada so am heading back there after the trip.

I am very passionate about travelling and meeting great people along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoyed great experiences couchsurfing in Europe in March/April 2013 with my friend Dan (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/daniel-jones-1) and with my friend Vicky so far in USA and Canada. I love meeting local people and finding things to do in a place that I would usually not find.

Once I return to England I can't wait to host and show some people around the places in England I know best.

Interests

I really enjoys watching historical documentaries, football with friends and Louis Theroux documentaries. I am also keen to learn more about photography as I have been given a decent camera that I use badly at the moment.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is pretty varied but my favourite artists are Slow Club, Bright Eyes, Libertines, Arcade Fire, Bombay Bicycle Club and Arctic Monkeys, however, Taylor Swift does write some bangers.

The Before series of films were amazing and I really liked Austin to Boston and Craigslist Joe of what non-fiction films I've watched recently.

I tend to make my way slowly through recommendations but I have just finished Curious incident which was good. My favourite book is L'etranger by Albert Camus.
