Tampa is a beautiful city on Florida’s Gulf Coast that is becoming more attractive all the time with new museums, parks, and fine restaurants sprouting up all over the place. Visitors can begin in Curtis Hixon Park and stroll the Riverwalk on the bank of the Hillsborough River, surrounded by modern architecture and green spaces. Rent a bike from Coast Bike Share and pedal to the historical Ybor City neighborhood, home to Tampa’s Cuban culture. Here, you’ll find restaurants, breweries, and legendary cigar shops producing some of the finest hand-rolled cigars in the United States.

The Gulf Coast can feel like paradise, so a trip to Tampa should include spending some time in the sun and sand. Make your way to Clearwater Beach to join crowds of locals in the sugar-fine sand and crystal clear water. For a less crowded day in the sun, hop on a ferry to Caladesi Island State Park, one of Florida’s last undeveloped islands with three miles of shoreline and an inland nature trail to explore.
