Hi All

I am interested in doing some volunteering work in or around Perth to learn new things and get a good karma :)

The best would be to work with boats or marine generally as I've just got an officer license last year, or something with math, finance and education as this was my major line of working for past 10 years.

Does anybody know any good place in Perth to start looking for something like this? Or maybe some contacts and recommendations?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Ilya

Hi Ilya,

You can check out Volunteering WA and also Gumtree. There is lots of volunteer work available in any kind of field.

Good luck,
Florentina

Hi all
Is there any package cheap transportation for tourist at Perth? But not CAT bus. I already know that. I mean like "my day" card at Sydney, my day 3, i can use all kind transportation, only 66 Aud for a week
Thanks

Allan Thomas , Perth, AUS, 2 months ago

No, but you can buy a day ticket for $13? that allows you to travel on train bus or ferry all day covering the Metro area from Mandurah to Yanchep some 150kms

Lisyie Rahmawati , Bandung, IDN, 2 months ago

can u give me the link about that?
I will stay at my friend house in mandurah, and i have plan to go to kings park, cottesloe beach, fremantle & penguin island. Are those 4 places still covered by a day ticket?
Thank you

Stevan , Sydney, AUS, 2 months ago

Don't think you can cover all those places in one day by public transport - the commute will take most of your visiting time.

I wrote one post but must have gotten misplaced or disappeared!

I'll be in Perth from the 26th Mar to 4 April and will have my metal detector with me, I'd love to find a friend to go out hunting treasures with. Beaches, Parks or if anyone knows of any cool locations like abandoned mining sites, ghost towns etc that would be awesome. Probably not that many here with this interest, but goes together with hiking, camping or just hanging out!

Allan Thomas , Perth, AUS, 2 months ago

The best place to use a metal detector is the goldfields regions But they are up to a days drive away .Don't know what you would find elsewhere ,maybe some junk stuff of little value . The beach maybe a coin or two but others do that all the time .

Paul Fisher , Bangkok, THA, 2 months ago

Great! thanks for the tips! Finding junk is what it's all about.. the one time a gold ring pops up your happy you dug all the junk.. Oz has had silver coins in the past too.. they are still out there.. My detector isn't a "gold" detector.. different technology..
Anyway it's a hobby and as any hobby the point isn't getting rich…

PLEASE HELP US KEEP THE HORSE BEACH OPEN

Do you like to see beautiful horses at the beach in Australia?

PLEASE help us by writing an email to the council info@joondalup.wa.gov.au and tell them that you love to see horses at the Whitfords Horse beach and think it would be VERY bad for tourism and you would be very unhappy if it was closed. (please make it a polite letter)
