Hi:) I want to send smal pack and postcards to Europe. Can anyone recommend me the best way to do this UPSstore or some post office?

Cackles Maniacally , Dallas, USA, 2 months ago

Not sure. Either will work. UPS had a reputation for being cheaper than post office. But that is not true now that USPS has flat rate boxes for international shipments. Now days UPS is much faster but USPS is cheaper. If you have an idea of the weight and size you can compare prices online before you go (under the calculate price tab on both sites). USPS prices range from $25 for a small box up to almost $90 for a "large" box. UPS is about double but it arrives in 1-3 days verse 6-10 days.

I use the Post Office to send cards and packages to Mexico and Brazil and I have never had anything lost.

If you go to a shipping store such as Eagle Postal Center or something similar they will be able to give you all the options. The postcards can be easily mailed through USPS and you can purchase stamps there; They can give price options for mailing the package through UPS, FedEx, or USPS and you can send from there. It is much quicker than having to go to the post office and wait in line and it is a very small fraction of a fee.

Hi everyone! Me and my friend are coming to Dallas for the Thanksgiving holiday. What are your suggestions? What can we do there? :)

Debra , Garland, USA, 2 months ago

Don't know if they are hosting this year, but a nice couple in Garland has traditionally held an event for couch surfers at their home. I went last year, and it was great...good crowd from different parts of the world...and we all got along so easily...

I am planning on renting some gear and Kayaking a piece of the Brazos River in June. I could use some advice!

From some initial googling a couple of options seem 1 or 2 day trips near Possum King Lake and Lake Whitney. Which area is more scenic? Also I would love for their to be some class I-III whitewater. Would Lake Whitney be better or Possum King?

Thanks guys

Syed Rahman , Dallas, USA, 2 months ago

Hey Samarth. I've heard the same about starting the trip by Possum Kingdom Lake. I've never done it myself but hope to one day.

Samarth Mehta , Dallas, USA, 2 months ago

I called a kayak rental company on the River and they said that they don't really have any white water on the river, which is unfortunate but it is still somewhat scenic.
