We are a family; Mikael – son, Misha – daughter, Urooba – wife, and Muzzammil – self. We love travelling and have explored places within our country Pakistan and around the globe.
During our travels, we stayed with locals and had amazing experiences. Similarly, we have been hosting travelers since many years in our hometown Karachi.
Please feel free to contact us if you plan to travel to Pakistan and looking for information.
Our last travels (July-August 2016) were around the high altitude valleys around the Northern Areas of Pakistan. We explored the very far flung but equally beautiful Yasin Valley in Gilgit near Wakhan Corridor before attending the Shandur Polo Festival. There, we stayed with amazingly hospitable locals, one of which we found over Couch Surfing. Last year (December 2016), we travelled all the way to the United States. It was our first American journey in which we mostly explored the East Coast: https://mozumbus.blogspot.com/2015/12/itinerray-east-coast-united-states-of.html.
I have been maintaining a travel blog to share our stories and travel tips: https://mozumbu.blogspot.com. These are some of our past journeys:
Neelum Valley, Kashmir, Pakistan (2014): https://mozumbus.blogspot.com/p/neelum-valley.html
Nepal (2013): https://mozumbus.blogspot.com/p/nepal-2013.html
Kalash and Fairy Meadows, Pakistan (2012): https://mozumbus.blogspot.com/p/kalash-and-fairy-meadows-2012.html
Egypt (2011): https://mozumbus.blogspot.com/p/egyptian-journey.html
Singapore, Bali, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka (2011): https://mozumbus.blogspot.com/p/oriental-outings-2011.html
The blog is not active as was in the past. Previously, I had also been active on travel fora like Lonely Planet, Virtual Tourist, etc. mainly for responding to travel questions and asking for travel related help. Now, I could only find time to respond to email queries: email@example.com.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to bring in the diversity, of culture as well as of thought, to this community. To me, hosting and surfing is a way to understand and bridge cultural gaps, so I would like to contribute and benefit whenever there is an opportunity.
All CS experiences have been unique and wonderful so far. Through CS, we participated in the Ogoh-Ogoh ceremony in Bali. Hosting and showing around my hometown is always exciting, and I love when my guests build first hand opinion about my country!
explore together, and share tips.

This is Muzzammil, or Muzz; dependent and dependable. Love traveling and love listening to exciting traveling stories. I eat slow, walk fast, and laugh loud, at times at my own-self. I want to see new places, differences in cultures, and diversity in human thoughts and the thought processes. At times, I feel like in search of something, maybe in the search of my inner soul.
In 2009, got married with Urooba and we are now gifted with a beautiful daughter, Misha, and her younger accomplice Mikael. Together we visited part South East Asia, i.e. Singapore, Malaysia, and Bali along with Sri Lanka (March 2011), then Egypt (December 2011), then Nepal (May 2013), and recently to the East Coast United States (December 2015). We tried CS in these expeditions and found that really enabling! We have also explored the beautiful Pakistan extensively and would be happy to give tips about traveling around our homeland.
This is what I saw and observed during my travels: http://mozumbus.blogspot.com
Pluralism is beauty, especially when it has both, firm believes and due respect for others convictions. ))))
Traveling is my passion so this is something beyond interest. I read books and magazines, and follow news and current affairs. Hanging out with friends and staying with them late, discussing and debating on random ideas, is what interests me anytime. I also love listening to Telawat, rhythmic oration of Holy Qur'an.
