I will be traveling to San Diego the weekend of Oct 9th for my birthday and would love to go whale watching but know little about the hobby. Is San Diego the right place to see whales this time of year? I have seen plenty companies that offer tours but would much rather pay someone with their own sailboat to take me out and show me the ropes (no pun intended). I plan to be living aboard next year and would love any advice or nice conversation.
hey! i go out often. drop me a line when you're in town. might be too early for a lot of whales. however, we're at the tail end of dolphin season :)

Anyone got any suggestions where to go and shake it off? Salsa dancing, maybe some bachata, or a place that has a live band and people dancing or just a place with crazy house music.

Hello. After exploring places in Seattle I don't trust to google... =) Does anyone can recommend any places to listen some bands? I like indie rock, british rock music... Is there any good music events happening next week? And maybe somebody want to join? =) Thanks!

There is a local live karaoke band. I know boys have some on side projects which may suit your interest. Check them here: http://www.rockoutkaraoke.com/rock-out-karaoke-side-projects/. That may get you closer to what you're looking for. Good luck!

The Casbah (capacity: ~250) is probably my favorite live music spot. Small and intimate, it doesn't take a huge crowd to get a good vibe going there. http://www.casbahmusic.com/
Observatory North Park (capacity: ~1100) has been killing it with booking in the past year too, but it looks like they have a slow week: http://observatorysd.com/
Other spots that routinely have original live music include Soda Bar (lots of local acts, capacity: ~150), The Music Box (formerly Anthology, capacity: ~350), The Merrow (capacity: ~300), and The Irenic (capacity: ~250).
If you have a car and don't mind driving 30-40 minutes up to Solana Beach, Belly Up (capacity: ~600) might be the most popular SD music joint: https://bellyupsolanabeach.frontgatetickets.com/
Hope you find a good show!

Which place is good to buy clothes shoes, perfumes, etc. not expensive ones.
It's my second time to San Diego. I was there last year for one week. This time I am gonna stay for 3 days just for the visa run. I want to know more friends if you want to hang out. Send me a message :D
There's a thrift trader in hillcrest that's closing. Everything there is $1 might be able to find what you need. If you're looking fir nicer things at a deal, the America outlets at the border are pretty nice, it's about a 40 min trolley ride from downtown
