Located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the sunny Spanish province of Andalusia, Granada is a picturesque city with a Moorish heritage and colorful personality. Take a short bus ride to the scenic town of Monachil to set off on an invigorating hike along the river in the Sierra Nevada mountains, and take your swimsuit for an opportunity to cool off in the rushing waters. Granada has a unique culinary scene, so sampling some tapas should take high priority.
