Hi everyone! Are there any people here that live in Valencia and are working as freelancers ánd might be interested in renting a place to work? I have been living in Valencia for a year and have been working from home/Starbucks etc. but I prefer to have an office space. Renting by myself is no fun; would be great to rent it with a couple of other people! As a freelancer I miss out on having colleagues and some office 'gezelligheid' (as we say in Dutch), so I thought this would be a good way to create a nice working atmosphere and new friendships. Hope to hear from you! :) Greetings, Fleur

We are renting a very nice house 500 meters from the beach with private swimming pool, jacuzzi, BBQ, highspeed internet...its in a city called Gandia near Valencia (1 hour by train).
We will start from September and maybe do it again in the following months. It's a big house with 5 bedroom and up to 10 people, it cost around 2400€ so we can divide costs and pay something like 250€ per person. Anyone is welcome to join us! :)

I'm renting an office with some friends. We are 5 and have room for up to 10 or 12 people. All of us are fluent in english and spanish. We have a meeting room and a big terrace. Is not in the city center, but not too far.
If anyone wants to come to work here for a couple days to try it, it's very welcome. Just send me an message and I can give you more details.

I am thinking to go to Spain this summer (August) and I would love to enjoy spanish, the sea, but I dislike the crowds, big cities and a cloud of tourists on the beaches...
Do you know any natural, more calm place next to Valencia, by the sea? Between Valencia and Barcelona for nice holidays? We would like to stay or in the hostel or camping.
Thanks a lot!!

If you want to see the best beaches you must go south! I recomend you the Javea area, Denia and Calpe.
It is 1h away from Valencia, it's between Valencia and Alicante. So you should go to the south rather than the north.
There is a camping in denia:
The camping maybe crowded in August but insist, this area has the best beaches around Valencia.
I think hiring a car is the best way to get around this area.
These are some beaches you can find in google
- Playa de la Granadella
- playa Portixol
- Cala Ambolo
- Cala moraig.

Bilman Bus is your company if you want to visit Bilbao from Valencia or viceversa.
Last time I used it it was around 30 euro and it was possible to travel during the night.

Hi guys! I will be visiting Valencia in August and thinking about staying in a neighborhood called Extramurs.
I have never been to Valencia, so don´t know what this area is like? Would you recommend staying there? Are there bars and places to go out? Thanks so much for any advice. Hope to meet some of you in person?! Would be great. Cheers, Anja

Hi Anja. I disagree with our friend Javier. I agoust Ruzafa is an empty neigborhood. Everybody (foreign people in general) goes out in Barrio del Carmen ( and Extramuros is next to Carmen) or Port area at night (where is a little bie far from de center town and their main activities).
So, Extramuros is not a bad place, even near Central Market I consider it would be better (and more expensive).
I'll be here working. Good to have a wibe. Have a nice trip

Depends on what are you planning to do in Valencia. If you'd like to visit the beach, it's not the best area to stay, Ensache, Aragon and Ruzafa could be a bit nicer. Btw, the last one in the artists-neighborhood. Have fun!

Hey guys, I am moving soon to Valencia! :) I have just started to search for a room to rent and of course it is not so easy. Is there anything what could you recommend me? Some disctricts, neighbourhoods, non-touristic places to visit? I like places and people with good vibes, soul, artistic ambiente. Fancy blocks of flats are not my thing... Any advice is highly appreciated! Thanks :)

i advice you l'alboufera. You take the 25 EMT bus near the Colon station. There is a beautiful lake a wonderful silent beaches. And if you go after la Garrofena at la devesa, there are some touristic guide that do tourustic tour fof free at 10 and 11.30 am. I 'll go tomorrow, it's beautiful.

Ruzafa and el Carmen are two of the bohemian neighborhoods in downtown Valencia, you might be interested in these ones. There are many interesting places to vissit in Vaalencia and its sorroundeings, let me know when you get to Valencia, I could show you some of them.
