HI you all, i ll be in Lisbon for the first time next weekend 8-9-10 july. I hear the night scene is good, i dont have much time to do research. Does anyone here recommend parties, clubs, private stuff? I m more into, bass, dub, electronic, experimental, kinda music (not salsa please). Of course people with same interest and quest, want to team up, you are welcome!!!

Since you dont want to research... you can check the "Bairro Alto" (lots of pubs) and then go all the way down to "pink street" at Cais do Sodre (also lots of pubs) should definitely check "Pensão do Amor" (pub)... for clubs you have Lux (tree floors each one with one kind of music) you also have "urban beach" they also have 3 rooms (1 Kizomba and other electronic that only opens when disco is full)...
And for more "relax", oppening day "Lust in Rio" (more a outside party)...
Have fun :P

is there please some swimming pool open to public in Lisbon? preferably with 50m lines but it is not a condition :)
Diogo Magalhães , , PRT, 2 months ago
You have a few. On Cidade Universitária you have one with a 50m lane and its open up until 22:00 i believe. I also know of one near Praça de espanha called "piscina municipal do rego" which is open up until 9:30 but doesnt have a 50m lane

While walking around my general neighborhood (Arroios) the other day, I came across a public pool. Here's the info on it in English (PDF).

We already sent a lot of emails to some hostels because we were thinking to do this kind of volounteering for acommodation or just to find a small job to get some pocket money to stay there. So maybe you guys heard about something like this and could help us ?

Hello, could you please suggest any interesting place with fado music in Lisabon? Thank you very much!

I am not from Lisbon but going there this month, did some preliminary research and what my close friend from Portugal tells me (who used to grow up in Lisbon) I should listen to Fado Vadio in a pub of Bairro Alto called 'Tasca do Chico' (Rua do Diário de Notícias 39). It always happens on Mondays and Wednesdays night.
As far as I trust his taste and knowledge of Lisbon, I definitely going to visit the place.
Good luck to you and others who want to listen to Fado.

There is also Clube de Fado - and that whole area has a lot of bars that have acoustic fado musicians playing. Most of these places only require you to buy a drink and is standing - seating only if you're eating. If you want something more upscale and have the budget (€60-80pp) you can go to a dinner show - so no cover but you need to order food. It's expensive (for Lisbon) but you get to hear some proper well known Fado musicians. O Faia is my recommendation for the dinner Fado show.

I`m coming to Lisbon in August and arrive to Lisbon airport early in the morning. I would like to know where is good and cheap place to buy food near Lisbon airport, or is it best to go to Lisbon center with bus for example? Because after I need to get back to airport because of my bus to my destination :)
Thank you, lots of love,

Hey Meiju. I think there´s no place to buy food near the airport. However you can go by metro to Oriente, and there you will find a big mall and supermarket.
You just have to take the metro in Airport and pass by two stops. Ticket price is 3,20 for both ways
You also have a bus (744Qta das Laranjeiras), that is faster but maybe harder to take and know the stops.

Thank you so much for your responses. I think we are going to take metro to Oriente like you guys recommended.
Andre, we are going to Boom festival and we are going there by Boom bus :)
