Thanks for sharing the event, inspiring guy! Just got the ticket!
Unfortunately can't answer about the time before the event but if you would like to meet after, I'm in!

Cool ! So we'll see each other at the event. Sure :)
I might bring an American friend too (if she can get her evening off).

Anyway, it seems really interesting ! See you there.

I'd like to come, too. None of my friends is interested, so I'd be very glad if I could join you :) I hope I will finish my final paper until april :)
Best wishes, Anna

Hey peps!

I'm in frankfurt by myself for a few days due to unexpected life changes.

I was walking around the city today but i only got myself surrounded by fake smiles, ties and shiny shoes.

Do you know any nice alternative places to visit out of this capitalistic hazy box? I would also like to find some associations\bars with nice concerts. (Preferably not electronic dancing stuff).

I would like to find those little, hidden and sweet places that only people from here know :)

I'm open for whatever... Let me know!

Enjoy!

my favorite district to walk around in is "bornheim" is veeery beautiful :) "berger straße" may be the most famous street there. tomorrow there is a street market with all kinda food :)
"bockenheim" is beautiful, too.
are you interested in fleamarkets? there is one tomorrow at the "schaumainkai" (thats next to the "eiserner steg" on the sachsenhausen side). but it could be difficult cause the people there often don't speak much english...

my favorite bar is "theplacetobe" (street: Weißadlergasse 3) it's small but nice!

If you have the time just take the U2 to "bad homburg gonzenheim" and take the bus to the centre. my favorite café there is "apfelkern & kolibri" (it's hard to find, don't be shy and ask!) but don't forget: you have to buy an special ticket, just ask some people.

If you come someday for a longer stay take the train to aschaffenburg. it's so nice there <3
don't be so negative about this city. be patient.

Hi, I am planning a trip through Europe and I would like to ask your help for booking a ticket by internet for a bus to Prague. Could you tell me which is the best web site for booking it and the most recommendable bus companies? Any advise or suggestion will be welcome.
Thank you.
Eduardo.

When do you want to go? In general I recommend to go with the train. If it's not too soon, the tickets are not that expensive and it's usually a bus from DB that goes there.
Check this link: https://ps.bahn.de/preissuche/preissuche/psc_angebotssuche.refresh;jsessionid=tsymrr_gEwH_iC98fDp0i5B46s6gXBpSixOhbS_XDIVxv7Rloucp!-538158964?shopId=.151239d&countrylang=GBR_en

If it has to be the bus, you can find it on this website: https://www.busradar.com/?currency=EUR The common bus companies are Flixbus, Mein Fernbus, Megabus and Eurolines. However I think none of the others will be bad either.

Last but not least I want to inform you about this carpooling site: https://www.blablacar.co.uk/ Carsharing is a very common concept nowadays and is 99,9% safe :)

Have a good trip!

Thank you very much Korinna. I am just beginning to plan the trip. I'll be arriving on August 15th, so I will check the train and carpooling as well.
Regarding buses, I have read Flixbus services in the web around 25 euros for the trip, do you know if it is a normal price for this trip?. My question is just for comparing with the other options you are giving to me.
Thank you again.
Eduardo.

Hello :)

I really wanna learn how to play the piano but I don't have one and can't afford to take lessons. I was wondering if someone here would be willing to teach me how to play or let me use their piano to teach myself? I would really really realllyyyyy appreciate it!!!

Shine , Frankfurt, DEU, 2 months ago

:) don't have one yet, but planning to buy soon. Not an expert, but I can play by ear.

Kat , Frankfurt am Main, DEU, 2 months ago

hi Nabila,
i have a yamaha keyboard, it makes a nice sound.
i also developed some interest for piano but the fact is that you have to practice a lot to improve yourself and that s not so easy to find time, so if you want to try mine, feel free to contact me

Hey everyone,

I am thinking of purchasing a train ticket online from DB, and have just seen the below statement:
"Specific train(s) i.e. your ticket is only valid on the train(s) specified on your ticket. Can be used in conjunction with BahnCard 25."

So does this mean it can only be used in conjunction with BahnCard 25 and I should get BahnCard 25 beforewards to purchase this promo ticket, OR can I simply purchase it without a bahncard?

Regards,
Hakan

Daniel Knauss , Nuremberg, DEU, 2 months ago

You can use it without. It just means that the BahnCard 25 gives you an extra discount on this ticket.

Michael Gierse , Friedrichsdorf, DEU, 2 months ago

In Germany ALL train Can be used with out BC

Thiemo Gollnick , Frankfurt am Main, DEU, 2 months ago

Usually you can use train tickets on any train or connection. EXCEPT: if you buy a ticket with a early booking discount (only possible when you buy a ticket in advance) but then the ticket system tells you "You can only use the ticket on one specific train.!!!"

People, who travel a lot or long distance with trains can buy a one year membership card which gives you a 25% or 50% discount on every train connection. When you look up a train connection you will allways see the regular price (valid on every train on that route) and the early discount price if one is available (only valid on that specific trains)

Be aware: there are local trains, regional train IC inter city trains and ICE inter city express trains... if you have a ticket for the ICE, you can also use the trains of the other category. Do you have a train ticket with an ICtrain you cannot use ICE trains unless you pay more
. Do you have an regional train ticket (RB,RE,VIA,... you cannot use IC or ICE trains
