Hello! I am Erin from Canada and I love hiking and would love to explore the nature accessible to Karlsruhe. I don't have a driver's license yet but definitely plan to get one and until then would love to learn about nice places to walk accessible by public transport. And if anyone would like to join me I am free practically every afternoon :-)

some other user started a similar initiative recently and created a small whatsapp user group for people that want to go hiking. I'll send you a pm and hook you guys up.

If you want to go not so far with public transport, the yellow bahns go south to Bad Herrenalb, Forbach... maybe around one hour to go, and you're in the middle of the forest and hills. Or north of KA you could also reach the Whineyards, maybe in Pflaz.
I am not free every afternoon, so cannot join during working days!

I´m searching for the best place in Karlsruhe, to relax while having a good coffee.
Would you like to show me your favorite spot ?!
P.S. No I don't want a starbucks.

Espresso Statione (in Kreuzstraße, close to the crossing with Zähringerstraße) is really great indeed. Great Espresso (they roast their own and are therefore my drug dealer since some years ago...), really decent Cappucino, and upon request they even manage to produce drinkable soy-milk-thingies ;-)

Hello, last night the wheel of my bike got bent or misshapen.
Can it be fixed or do I have to buy a new wheel?
Is anyone good at fixing bikes? Or recommend a good bike shop?
Please help! Thanks :)
Danke :)

it depends on how bad it was bent. Just little bit, you can fix. But it's not that easy. You can go to Hadiko student appartment : Klosterweg 28, Building K4. They fix bikes there for free, you can use tools for free and they have many old but good wheels.

you don't need to buy a new wheel, you have to just tight or loose some of the bars of the wheel. this might be usefull:
might be hard to do that yourself. and I am not good at it.

Hey beautiful people,
I'm looking for a guitar teacher for acoustic (and later eventually electronic) guitar, starting september. I was thinking about weekly or bi-weekly hours (depending on my schedule and time to practice). I'm not a beginner, been playing in music school from age 7-14, and after a long break some time in my early 20s (I'm getting old...). Wanted to refresh technique and getting motivated by learning some new songs first.
Long-term goal is to master some finger-picking.
Can anyone suggest someone/something?
I know I can find plenty of music teachers from "Musikhaus Schlaile", but I would like some references. If you can recommend someone (or even yourself) feel free to send me a PM.

I started to play electronic guitar and i teach myself via internet till now, but i think its more fun to jam with some cool people. So if you find a teacher maybe we can have a session together?

hey steph, sure thing.
i'm starting lessons in september, after that we surely can meet up for some guitar playing!

Hey there everybody,
Do you know any market on the street either in Baden-Baden or close to this city? I saw this kind of markets in Berlin, it takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays. What about at this area?
Could you tell me more information, please? I tried Google and didn´t find anything.
Thanks in advance.

it is called "Wochenmarkt" (weekly market) here. There you can find any saisonal fruits and vegetables including oversea products like tropical fruits etc.
