Hello everyone,
I am just curious if there are book reading or film watching clubs in and around Hannover. If yes, I would be glad to get some info on it. If not, we could organise (weekly/monthly) meetings and have some (maybe a lot of) conversations on our favorite books, films, suggestions and meet people with same/new interests. Any suggestions and inputs are welcome. And sorry for the long post :)

If you want to start a film watching club so i reccommend "Borat" for the first evening. :-))))

Venky , Hanover, DEU, about 2 months ago

Jan, we can watch 'Borat' anytime. But to know who likes Borat or any other films/books for that matter, we need to have some meeting or the other. Hannover group is either dormant or have less interest when it comes to books/films I guess.

There is a Facebook group called "enjoy Hannover" of people from other countries living/staying in Hannover who are making movie nights. I never participated because I'm am new to that group, but I think they have a good place for it (some university room) and it is very fun.

Dear lovely people, is anybody good at repairing bikes? Mine is quite fucked. :) I could make good cake or food in return!

Laura Degener , Helsinki, FIN, about 2 months ago

Meins möcht ich auch mal wieder auf Vordermann bringen. Falls du dich bis Juni gedulden kannst könnten wir mit meinem Papa mal ne bike session machen, also falls du Interesse hast, es selbst zu lernen, fürs nächste Mal. ;-)

Fabian Springer , Burgdorf, DEU, about 2 months ago

Meinst du mit bike Fahrrad oder Motorrad? Geht beides ganz gut, je nachdem was kaputt ist. Essen ist immer gut ;)

Ronia , Hanover, DEU, about 2 months ago

Hi Sara, if you are a student there are three places in Hannover where you can bring your bike and it's getting repaired for free you just pay for the materials if needed.
- Fahrradwerkstatt Glocksee
- Pro Beruf GmbH - Die Fahrradwerkstatt
- Arbeits - und Sozialberatungsgesellschaft Ahlem (ASG)

You will find more information about these garages in the Internet (for example on www.studentenwerk-hannover.de/fahrrad.html)
Best wishes for you and your bike

Salam, visit the town hall to look at the city models and maybe go up to the top for the view. Aegidienkirche, Maschsee, Herrenhäuser Gärten (go early cause at some point they close for the "Kleines Fest") ...if you don't know where to go there's a read line (Roter Faden) painted on the floor that you can follow :)
(If the weather is good and you are fed up with sight seeing I strongly recommend to just sit in the queue for for last minute tickets for the Kleines Fest, cause this is basically the very best thing of the whole year that Hannover has to offer.
And since you like hiking you could climb Hannovers highest moutain, the Kronsberg. It's 20 min by tram and then 15 min walk. ;-)
